Course Details

The courses for both the 5K and 10K runs follow paths around the beautiful Grade II* listed park and gardens of Highnam Court, just to the west of Gloucester. It takes in the lakes at the south and west of the Gardens, and will also run alongside Holy Innocents Church, one of the most significant Victorian churches in the country, commissioned by Thomas Gambier Parry, owner of Highnam Court in the mid-19th Century. We are grateful to Roger Head for his kind permission to use the grounds of Highnam Court.

The course map below shows the planned 5km long, anti-clockwise course in yellow (two laps for the 10K run). The run will start at or near the red arrow to the north of the map with water points marked in aqua, car parking in blue and spectator areas in red. The course route may need to be changed as the run date approaches due to conditions underfoot and use of the land, but the organisers will make every attempt to maintain a similar course profile.

The course times for the 2015 run were:

  • 5K
    • Men: 19m 39s
    • Women: 27m 16s
  • 10K
    • Men: 38m 52s
    • Women: 49m 03s
